Lucy is one of the most experienced broadcasters in Wales. She presents BBC One Wales' flagship news programme Wales Today, and BBC One Wales' primetime consumer programme X-Ray, alongside her husband Rhodri Owen.

Before joining the BBC last year, Lucy worked for ITV Wales. She has fronted the ITV Evening News alongside Mark Austin, and the ITV Lunchtime News with Alastair Stewart. She presented ITV Wales' flagship news programme for 12 years and also fronted a variety of factual and entertainment shows - among them "Stories From The Street", "Stage to Stage" - the story behind the Wales Millennium Centre, and the travel programme "Away Days". In addition, Lucy is a proven radio broadcaster and co-hosted Capital's Red Dragon FM Breakfast show.

She has also produced and presented two programmes on Prince Charles - "The Prince In Wales" where she had exclusive access to the royal party during their summer tour, and also "My Trust in Wales" - charting 30 years of the Prince's Trust in Wales, for which she was given an exclusive interview with the Prince at Highgrove.

Lucy has extensive experience in the corporate field and is a popular choice to host corporate events and award cermemonies, a few examples of events include hosting:

  • Wales Excellence Awards (for 2 consecutive years)

Lucy is also an Ambassador for the Prince's Trust Cymru, Bobath Cymru and St John's Ambulance.
