Llangollen Festival to benefit from the British ‘staycation’28TH MAY 2009
With many British holiday-makers opting to holiday at home this year due to the economic downturn, the town of Llangollen, North Wales is set to receive a record number of visitors as it plays host to one of the world’s most vibrant Festivals, the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod, which this year takes place from 6th to 12th July.

Lucky ticket-holders to Only Men Aloud’s sell-out concert at Cardiff International Arena on Saturday 2nd May were treated to a special surprise performance from Bonnie Tyler.
Only Men Aloud wowed a packed audience with a dazzling performance on home-ground at Cardiff’s CIA. Not only were the audience treated to sensational choral singing and theatrical choreography but also the surprise appearance of a star guest. Welsh legend Bonnie Tyler took to the stage to join her fellow countrymen for a very special rendition of ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart’. Speaking after last night’s show Bonnie Tyler said, “Having heard how well the guys had performed in their opening concert in Swansea and that their UK wide tour was a sell out, I couldn’t wait to perform with them in Cardiff. The choir and the crowd were amazing!”.......
Unique Welsh Mass @ St. Fagans25TH APRIL 2009
On Saturday, April 25th, St. Teilo’s Church, St. Fagans played host to a very unique service; for the first time ever in history, a Welsh language Mass took place in this historic church. The Mass, which was a great success, launched a series of events scheduled to take place across Wales to celebrate the 400th anniversary of St. John Roberts of Trawsfynydd’s martyrdom......

The cherry on Mr Producer’s birthday cake was a surprise appearance by winners of BBC1’s hit show ‘Last Choir Standing’ - Only Men Aloud! who sang ‘Happy Birthday’ as Managing Director Stifyn Parri cut the cake!.....
Faryl Smith set to shine at Llangollen Festival's new Opening Gala11TH MARCH 2009
Young singing sensation Faryl Smith is set to star at this year’s Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod. Thirteen-year-old Faryl, who shot to fame following her success on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent, is no stranger to the North Wales festival having first competed there at the age of 10, winning first prize for her vocal solo in the 10-15 age group. Faryl: ‘I’m really looking forward to going back to Llangollen, I have great memories of competing at the Eisteddfod, it was my first taste of performing on an international stage and gave me the confidence to follow my dream’......
Mr Producer to head PR campaign for Llangollen Eisteddfod18TH FEBRUARY 2009
Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod appoints Stifyn Parri and Mr Producer as Public Relations Director for this year’s Festival. Stifyn, originally from Rhosllannerchrugog, Denbighshire, will lead the PR campaign for the Eisteddfod that takes place from 7th – 12th July 2009.
