Mr Producer has been instrumental in many large-scale events over the years, including the opening of Wales Millennium Centre, BAFTA Cymru Awards and many live television Gala events. Stifyn has over 25 years experience in the media industry. He has starred in West End hits such as Les Miserables, National TV series’ such as Brookside and was creator of the globally renowned SWS society (Social Welsh and Sexy) that boasts Catherine Zeta Jones and Bryn Terfel as patrons.

Stifyn said “I am truly delighted to be working with a festival that had such an influence on my informative years. I would marvel at the effect this vibrant, international event would have on the magical town of Llangollen. This cool and cultural happening was a huge inspiration to me, and I’m honoured to be invited to bring my energy and ideas to what is one of Wales’ most unique experiences for local and internationals alike. These four words - Llangollen, International, Musical and Eisteddfod all mean so much to me individually, but put them together and they mean even more, I can now say the future is LIME!”

Mervyn Cousins, Executive Director for the Eisteddfod, said “This new partnership is yet another exciting development for the Eisteddfod having already extended this year’s programme with an additional day’s activities on Sunday 12 July, free to Sunday concert ticket holders. Stifyn and Mr Producer will undoubtedly bring something quite different to our ever-evolving festival, which each year attracts over four thousand competitors from all over the world. Mr Producer has such enthusiasm and a rare energy, and we are thrilled they are on board”.

Stifyn added “I’m also very honoured to be taking over the reigns from the late Joe O’Neil, who sadly passed away last year. Joe lived and breathed the music industry here in Wales and I, like him, am passionate about artists and entertainment. Creating events and gaining publicity is what we achieve on a daily basis and this new appointment fits perfectly into Mr Producer’s service provision. I’m so excited, I’m coming home!”

This year the thousands of people from around the world who visit the North Wales event will not only be welcomed by music and dance competitions but also treated to headline acts including Barbara Dickson, Sir Willard White, Blake and Natasha Marsh. The finale of the Festival will see an Evening of James Bond music performed by the Welsh National Opera Orchestra, conducted by Carl Davis and starring Bond girl Honor Blackman. What a cocktail...prepare to be shaken AND stirred!
