Scott Davies joins Llangollen Eisteddfod concert line-up at the eleventh hour

The Phantom of the Opera star Scott Davies has stepped in at the eleventh hour to perform at this evening’s Best of the West End concert at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod. The Scottish singer replaces David Shannon, who also enjoyed a stint as Phantom, after he was forced to withdraw from the concert due to illness.

Scott joins West End and Broadway sensation Ruthie Henshall, Andrew Halliday, Robyn North and the Welsh National Opera on the Llangollen pavilion stage to perform a number of classics from top West End shows, including Les Misèrables, Wicked and Chicago.

Scott Davies’ theatre and opera credits include Verdi’s Ernani, Carmen, Cats, Chess, Jesus Christ Superstar and Brigadoon.

Ruthie Henshall is an award winning singer, actress, dance and TV personality who is familiar to millions through her work on stage and screen. She was awarded a ‘Best Actress in a Musical’ Olivier Award for her role in She Loves Me and has three Olivier nominations to her name.
